Imadegawa Suetaka (今出川季孝)
Suetaka IMADEGAWA (1479 - November 7, 1519) was a kugyo (court noble) who lived during the Muromachi period. He served two emperors, Emperor Gotsuchimikado (the 103rd) and Emperor Gokashiwabara (the 104th), and advanced to Dainagon (chief councilor of state) at the rank of Shonii (Senior Second Rank). His father was Kinoki IMADEGAWA, Udaijin (minister of the right). His mother was a daughter of Nagatoyo TAKAKURA, Chunagon (vice-councilor of state).
He was conferred to a peerage in 1498. Continued being promoted after that, he was awarded the rank of Jusanmi (Junior Third Rank) in 1502, becoming a kugyo, after assuming jiju (chamberlain), a post at Konoefu (the headquarters of the inner palace guards) and another post at Konoefu. After that, he was appointed to Dainagon in 1514, after assuming Chunagon. He died in 1519. Died at the age of 41.
